It's funny how life is. It's hard for people who believe in a certain absolute truth to listen to anything else anyone has to offer. Everybody's a critic. Everyone has something that they believe in.
Nobody listens.
We hear with our ears, but not with our hearts. In this age of information and technology, we, from the primitives that we are, have degenerated to only receiving information that we have filtered through our narrow conscious. We are blinded by our ego and our lust for self-approval.
How can we hope to improve when we are bent on staying within a wall that blocks out any views that differs from our own? The people who talk about righteousness, people who uphold justice, the people who talk about religions, those who uphold the word of their God.
Have they ever try to look back upon their actions and ponder over the right course of action?
People who uphold Justice can easily become vigilantes.
People who spread the word of faith could easily mislead their disciples.
There is nothing certain in this world. We cannot be certain that we can always take the right path in life. And that is why we need the voices of many. We need to constantly check our course of actions and correct our path of alignment.
We need humility.
We shall not be swayed by our ego.
We will not fear correction.
I myself am guilty of the incompetence of receiving public views and hope to rectify this deadly vice of mine.
There is a reason why each and everyone of us are made differently. We need to make the best of this but complementing each other and accept and exchange views and pointers of events. We might not need to act upon them, but we should make it a habit to welcome the voices of many.
Alone we fail. Together, we are unbeatable. The voices of many shall be the key to the future.
