Adapted from a novel, this movie touches on the lives of 3 teenagers who by are entangled in a messy and weird love triangle. Be prepared to laugh, be prepared to get into fits of anger from time to time and for those of you with an abundant supply of tears, be prepared to grab your tissues as the characters touch your heart.

The major part of the movie is mainly on the lives of our teenage trio from the point that they encountered one another. For a 2 hour movie, I wasn't the least bored as the flow of the movie only made you yearning to know more about the 3 interesting teenagers; Jung-won, our aggressive female lead who will not hesitate to punch you (pretty much like someone I know), Eun-kyu, the talented and popular lead singer of the band DoReMiFaSoLaSiDo and Hee-won, our mysterious bassist, band mate of Eun-kyu and a former friend of Jung-won.

I hate to admit it, but I did teared (no, I did not cry) at the last part of the show. It was a really touching moment where one of the leading actors (I shall not say who) told Jung-won, "I'm sorry I loved you." whereby she replied, "Next time, don't fall in love." It really triggers that sadness in you when you see them say that.

I don't know about you, but I think this is definitely worth watching. Just remember to grab your Kleenex and put it next to you.

Finally got myself one of those zip em up hoodies. It made my poor piggy cry all the way home.

And the sad thing is, I can't even zip it all the way up. It's either:
-my head is too big
-the hoodie is too small
-my head is too big AND the hoodie is too small

I'm not too pleased. I am gonna have to organise a junkyard sale and recuperate my piggy's health.

In other news, I had my first driving lesson today. My car stalled twice and I changed gear wrongly... twice, all this in spite of the fact that I have first hand driving experience back in camp.

I guess I need more practice. Let's just hope there won't be any man-made humps ahead on my patrol.

"And here... we... go."

The Dark Knight is serious business. No joke about it. This film is a lengthy 2.5hours with loads of things going boom and a whole lot of grim content inside to bring out of the film afterwards.

Heath Ledger was amazing in his role as the Joker. If I didn't know better, I would have thought the Joker was alive in the flesh. He definitely deserves the best villian award. May his soul rest in peace. Here's a standing ovation to the late Heath Ledger.

How far would you actually go in order to do what is right? Do you have enough moral courage to uphold justice? Can you forgo your ego in order to do what is necessary? How far would you go to do what is right for the people?

The Dark Knight is not only dark in the title itself, but in its content. You have been warned.

Just when I finally figure out how to sign up for the race...

I find out to my horror that my t-shirt size is out of stock.

No t-shirt = no race.

Yeah. You heard me.

Stuck in the toilet.

Not the toilet bowl. As in literally trapped in the room itself.

My own toilet, nonetheless. Had to break the door knob with a hammer in order to get out.

The world is such an amazing place to live in.

Yummy selection of food at New York New York!(no, I don't live in the States) Food glorious food!

A round of applause please, for Darrell's brilliant selection of yummy delights.

Sinful delight! Iced Chocolate Velvet Original!

I'm not a fan of coffee but this Mushroom Cappucino Soup is awesome. Definitely a must try.

The Spaghetti Bolognese Meatballs doesn't settle well on my taste buds. I've never been a fan of the tomato pasta sauce. Bad choice here.

And at the other corner of the ring... introducing... her selection of food!

I told you it's a must try. Need I say more?

Tagliatelle Alfredo Fish! Now this settles well on my taste buds. The pasta sauce is rich and creamy. Me likey.

And finally... wedges on the house, if you happen to flash your POSB/DBS card with a minimum purchase of $40SGD.

Yes, you can have the wedges by eating more!

In other news... it's farewell to our favorite big guy, Kenneth the WE as he leaves for Australia for his studies. Take good care of yourself big dude, we are missing you already. Do well for your studies and make the Spartans proud!

No, I did not cry.

No, he did not cry either.

Neither did Jian Hui.

Nor Ernest.

Nor Casper.

Nobody cried, alright? Sheesh, let it go already.

"Winner winner! Chicken dinner!!"

I have to admit I'm not the brightest bulb in the crate. And this movie has got me going "huh?" and "wha...?" and "huh?" repeatedly over and over again throughout the entire film.

I'm not a big fan of cards and I suck at numbers. But hey, that's not what the movie is mainly about.

21 tells us about greed and how it could possess us and overpower our senses beyond our reasoning. It's more than maths and numbers and clever talks. Sure it feels great if you could actually understand everything that they were saying in the film, but not every one of us out here are rocket scientists.

I personally like the film. Not because of the clever talks or the number games, but because of what the film portrays. Be in control and never let greed tempt you.

Read it, learn it, remember it.

You are Black Monkey, whose character is cheerful, amiable and simple.
You possess both smartness and gracefulness.
Your appearance is youthful, and no matter how old you get, you will always have a young heart.
You don't worry much about someone being late with appointment, or your subordinates making mistakes.
Nevertheless, you tend to be proud, so when you face troubles that hurt your dignity, you suffer a great shock.
You tend to be rather faddish.
Even if you are talking with someone you don't like, you can show smile on your face, and actually inside, you are being hard on your preferences.
You hate to lose.
You put in great effort not to get behind others.
You have a tendency to show yourself big, by saying that you know things, even if really, you don't.
In the atmosphere where you can relax, you show great natural sense of humor, and amiableness.
You have a huge dream, and will work hard to make that come true.
You will not get in a rush, and will follow your own pace.
You are good at handling numbers.
You can persuade other by using data, and therefore, you tend to have a bottom-line thinking even in private matters.
You are not good at reading deeper thoughts.
If you can overcome this weakness, you will have far greater chance of success.

I just came back from my 3km run, and I can assure you that my 3 rounds around the park is much more exciting than the show itself.

Hellboy II is really quite a visual feast for the audience with the CGIs and curious creatures in the show. But the plot is so linear, you just can't help wondering if you would be better off staring at bullets travelling straight. Seriously.

But if you are in for the CGIs, I'd say, go for it. Especially if you are a big Hellboy fan. I'm personally a fan of action, but there really isn't enough of it in the film.

But hey, who cares about what I like, yeah? I am curious to find out what would happen if Liz met the human torch from Fantastic Four. Hmmm...

In other news, man it's tiring to run 3km! It's been a while since I went jogging and I'm sad to say my fitness has dropped drastically. Gotta get into shape before AHM and the Nike 10km run! Anyone interested in joining me for the Nike run?

Must not slack!

If you have been to Settlers and Mind's Cafe, and you are looking for a similar place to hangout, this is not the right place for you.

Nebo Cafe at Ang Moh Kio Hub has a rather pleasant ambience. It's small and cosy, the food's not bad (I especially love the sauces) and it's just next to the Cathay theatre. What's to complain right?

Well, to start off, if you are there to plainly chill and hang out a little, like have a La Kopi session, this is the place to be.

But if you are looking for what I mentioned at the start of the blog, this is a complete nuh-uh. The games are extremely limited and the staff's knowledge of their own games is even more limited than their limited games, if you get my drift.

What you see is what you can get.

But of course, we did not let the lack of games deter us. We managed to find a relatively fun game called "Hedbanz" where we get to wear the silly blue looking headband with a card attached to it.

In case you're curious, this game is for ages 7 and up

The objective of the game is to guess what card you picked by asking questions with 'yes' and 'no' answers.

I am a candy bar. Sweeet.

It's fun to wear that silly looking thing on your head when you are with a familiar group of friends. But things start to get uncomfortable when you are conveniently seated next to the glass pane which is next to the walkway.

You get plenty of weird stares every now and then. One weirdo even stared at us. Yes, literally STARED at us and continued doing so even though we looked back.

There's our demonstrator at the walkway staring in.

Awkward.

So unless you are just there to La Kopi, make a detour to your nearest Mind's or Settler's Cafe now. Avoid the disappointment and the awkwardness of being stared at like some animals in the zoo.

It's 2AM and I'm finally done with the blog skin. Sweeet.

Really really tired right now. Pimples are popping out of nowhere. Guess the constant exposure to the computer is really killing off my cells. Curse you evil radiation!

On the other hand, connection's back online and I've terminated the turtle speed connection and had the modem returned. So far so good.

I need to get some rest now. I really need to learn how to sleep. Oh god. My body's so screwed.

Ladies and Gentlemen, may I have your attention please?

I am now certified to do basic rock climbing! Wooohoooo! Sweet!

It's fun to rock climb, but now my fingers are kinda sore from all that hard gripping. Not to mention I might have overexerted myself. My shoulders kinda hurt when I try to pull things. Ouch.

Shall try this again soon! Must practice constantly so that I will not forget what has been taught today!

Oh how I dread the soreness that awaits me tomorrow morning.

Angelina Jolie is hot. Never mind who the man of the show is.

Remember someone told that bullets travel straight? Well someone lied. Apparently. WANTED is a non-stop ride of fun mindless violence filled with blood, gore and cussing. You have been warned! If you have watched SHOOT 'EM UP before this, you should probably know the direction of the film. All that nifty camera effects kinda makes you feel that all those violence are justified for that film moment. Spice it up with major plot twists and you get an enjoyable adrenalin packed film. Did I mention that Jolie is hot?

Oh yeah, attended my first Cosfest! It was a fun filled day of photo taking as many parade around in their best costumes that either made the anime character proud... or... you know where I'm going with this, yeah?

Here are some photos from Cosfest 2008...

"OMG! Look there Cloud! Got 狗仔队!!"

The Sailormoon gang. Some things never get old, do they?

The Exorcists from D.Gray-man

The Espadas from Bleach!!!

The Espadas, Captain Ukitake and Ishida Uryuu. FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!

Casper to Misa-Misa: "可以不要写我的名吗??"

It's about time someone beat up Reno, yo.

If you spend a day there, you would start to itch for cosplaying. Can you believe Ichigo's bankai sword costs $55SGD?? And the costumes don't come cheap either. Oh the agony.

Maybe I can try parading in Orchard with the expensive costumes to recover the costs of these expensive getups.

More photos on my Friendster. Check 'em out.

An angsty superhero who saves the day... but racks up billions in damages to property every single time. Meet Hancock, your not-so-typical superhero. He drinks, he breaks things, he cusses and he hates it when people calls him an asshole.

Hancock shows us that even superheroes aren't perfect. They are humans just like you and me. They have their vulnerabilities and they need a pat on the back just like any other average Joes out there. I find the movie a little short and lacking of a backstory for our antihero, but hey, it is still quite an enjoyable show with it's little plot twists here and there.

Here's my favorite quote from the movie where Hancock addresses the citizens of Los Angeles, "... You deserve better. I can be better, and I will be better."

Good job.

Ever wondered where you would be 3 years from now?

3 years... well, you can't exactly say that 3 years is a long time. But still, many things could happen in 3 years. 2 years in army was already a life changing experience. Can you imagine what you can do or achieve in 3 years?

Nobody can say for sure. But I shall look forward to it. Many things awaits at the end of that 3 year path.

The silly girl and me has decided to remain purely as friends. She needs her room and time to grow. And I need my time to slog for my student life. I guess this is the best for the both of us.

三年以后,你还会记得我吗?你是否还会像现在的你?我是否会像现在的我?

Oh yeah. I'm a student of SIM-UOL now. Just went for Orientation Day which lasted the WHOLE DAY. Our group was a little quiet, consisting mostly of stonners, including me. But nevertheless, we all got to meet someone new today through the various games organised for us. I didn't know my brains still functioned well enough for me to remember everybody's names! Not bad at all for someone who has kept his brains dormant for the past 2 years! This has to be the miracle of playing Brain-Age!

Well, we were shown around the CCA booth during one part of the orientation and two CCAs kinda caught my interest. The SIM Students Toastmasters and the SIM Ultimate (Frisbee). Both take up relatively little time, which would give me enough time to work, study and play (hey, the man at the talk told us to be kind to ourselves. I totally agree on that.)

Ahhh... a new phase of life would be starting soon. Let's hope I start on the right foot this time. Full throttle ahead!
