With just 2 days plus of drill rehearsals, we were off to meet them... members of the civilian world, consisting of our parents, loved ones and friends. I am sure it was a proud moment for many (if not all) of us who were standing there in the parade square, with our cool shades and POI hat that is unique only to our Spartan unit. This marks the ending of my NSF life. One more month to ORD!!
My heart was pounding as I stood in front of the crowd. Memories came rushing through my brain as I marveled over the things I had accomplished over the 2 years of my army life. 2 years ago I never could have imagined myself being able to even pass my IPPT or even survive this ordeal called National Service. But with the help from my comrade in arms, I have managed to come this far. Add in hard work and determination, and, viola!
6SIR Recces!
On parade
The Recce Marching ContingentWell, today was the longest distance I had EVER ran in my whole life. 14KM! I had not had the chance to participate in any of the Army Half Marathon distance clocking due to my commitment in the ORD Magazine, so this was kind of an inevitable run. Nevertheless, I think I wasn't too shabby, being able to clock in at 77.30mins.
ORD dinner is the upcoming event for tonight! Hopefully I'll be able to snap up a few good shots to post. Yeah, so do check back!
