Who says the cool guy always wins in a gunfight?
If the movie title sounds familiar to you, it is probably because it's inspired by the old western movie, "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly". I can't remember the storyline of the old movie, but what I can say is that I didn't manage to go through the whole show.
But this, I like.
The start of the movie was a little bland and dull, but it starts to lure you into the show bit by bit as you get to know the characters better. As you can probably tell from the title, the whole show revolves around our 3 main characters, namely the Good (Park Do-won), the Bad (Park Ching-Yi) and the Ugly (Yoon Tae-Goo), whom in my opinion, made the show alive with his lame acts and stunts.
I was kind of expecting loads of gore from an NC-16 show, but I was proven otherwise. I'm still kind of puzzled over the rating despite such mild acts of violence in the show. The movie is mainly about the war in Manchuria and the fight over this treasure map which would, inevitably turn the tides of the war. Our 3 leading men, are, of course, dragged into this war with one being hired from the good, one being hired from the evil side and the last one... our freelance lamer. The story packs a twist at the end of the show, so just stay tuned to find out.
All in all, it is not a bad show, but does it really deserve to be Korea's box office hit? I have my doubts, but I'll let you be the judge.
In other news, I cooked macaroni for the girl today... a pity it didn't turn out as good as I thought it would. Kind of disappointed... and we didn't take any photos of it either. Aw man. Maybe next time.
Maybe I should make her cook for me the next time round.
