As a guy, I have learn never to cross paths with a woman in a bulldozer or to stand in her path when she is set to achieve something.
And when you get two woman bent on getting married on the same day at the same place, you know you are in for some good catty fights.
Caught the sneaks of Bride Wars yesterday at Tiong Bahru Plaza with her RAW-yal (Royal) Highness. We were pretty late for the movie, but the plot of the show itself was pretty straightforward, so it doesn't really take much for you to figure out even if you had actually missed half an hour of the show itself.
Typical, predictable plot aside, it was pretty amusing watching two women trying to ruin each other's lives. Who doesn't like to watch a good cat fight? And watching Anne Hathaway go ballistic was definitely something that you don't see everyday.
The movie was quite short (about an hour plus), but I guess there really isn't much you can expand on. How long do you expect a catfight to last anyways?
After the movie, we headed down to this cosy little Japanese Pasta restaurant called "The Pasta Place", which is actually one of Sakae's franchise. I didn't even know Sakae had a pasta shop til I saw it. They even have one of those high tea buffets just like the original Sakae branch. I must definitely give it a try one of these days.
I would love to post photos of what we had for dinner, but I was just way too hungry. The hunger sapped away all my will and strength, rendering me weak, to the extent that I couldn't even raise a finger to whip out my camera.
Ok, perhaps I exaggerated a little there, but the point is, no photos were taken, sadly.
The cream soup was quite a delight to savor over. It had this really nice aftertaste which is unlike those instant soup that they serve at your normal western restaurants. Pasta serving was rather hearty, so there shouldn't be any concern of not being able to fill up your empty stomach. I actually ordered a cup of cocktail (vodka plus some Japanese plum drink) to try out, and as usual, I was pretty much swept out by the alcohol. Guess some things just never change. On the other hand, she seemed pretty well, even after having a few sips of the drinks.
In other news, did I mention that there is a new residence in my house? We call him Milo and he likes to bite a lot. The bugger nearly chewed off a part of my girlfriend's pants.
I like the taste of gummy cherry lips.

First off, let's talk about yesterday.
I didn't manage to be mascot yesterday cause I was late for my duty. Even though I rushed down right after driving.
Tried donating blood but was rejected by the doctor. Apparently, you can't donate if you have flu or any kind of household sickness cause it might carry over in your blood.
Ah shucks.
Today was the day for my driving test (again). You won't believe this, but before I went for the actual test, I was involved in a minor road accident.
The good news is, I passed my test.
Woohoo!
One test down. 5 more papers to go for the year.
Time to go to gear 5?

Finally got to visit her house today! Saw some of her photos when she was much younger... which was quite funny! She used to smile so radiantly for the camera. She should really do that more frequently.
I happened to see her father's certificate of honor from the president... I think I'm going to have to work really really hard to win her hand from her dad.
Ahh... I gotta stop slacking!

Went down to Dragonfly today to get my free goodie bag from Derrick's D-Party.
The turnout seems to be around the same strength as yesterday. Which is not a bad sign... seeing that there is no decrease in the attendance for his fans. I actually reached one hour earlier than the stated time, which was a good call. I swear if I didn't get the bag I would have flipped on the spot.
However, the contents of the bag was really disappointing. None of it was related to the host himself. What a waste of time.
Anyways, today was still a good day and I feel like dedicating a short verse for someone who likes RAW tomatoes. Here goes:
Oh gummy candy lips,
the ever elusive 'myst'.
Jack in the box,
just like a fox.
The gummy candy sweet

After 3 long weeks! I finally got to meet her!
Went to Orchard and then went down to IMM to see Derrick Hoh. Poor Derrick doesn't seem to have many fans though. Which is good for those who are getting autographs and trying to catch a glimpse of him though.
Anyways! She is so darn cute! Can you imagine her blushing when all I did was hug her by surprise? Heh.
I'll get to see her again today (10th Jan)! Woohoo!

In just a few moments, 2009 would come to an end. Time really flies, doesn't it? 2009 was quite a 'turn of event' year for me.
Nevertheless, it wasn't a bad year. Here's hoping that 2010 would be a more fruitful year for me. 2010 resolution list coming right up!
1. Become fitter
2. Do well in whatever I do (That's my school motto, btw)
3. Become more learned (start reading the newspaper?)
That's all for next year. I realize that I do not have much demands for life anymore. Simple demands like these goes a far longer way than "Learn Guitar" blah blah.
Here's to a good year ahead. Happy 2010!
