As a guy, I have learn never to cross paths with a woman in a bulldozer or to stand in her path when she is set to achieve something.

And when you get two woman bent on getting married on the same day at the same place, you know you are in for some good catty fights.

Caught the sneaks of Bride Wars yesterday at Tiong Bahru Plaza with her RAW-yal (Royal) Highness. We were pretty late for the movie, but the plot of the show itself was pretty straightforward, so it doesn't really take much for you to figure out even if you had actually missed half an hour of the show itself.

Typical, predictable plot aside, it was pretty amusing watching two women trying to ruin each other's lives. Who doesn't like to watch a good cat fight? And watching Anne Hathaway go ballistic was definitely something that you don't see everyday.

The movie was quite short (about an hour plus), but I guess there really isn't much you can expand on. How long do you expect a catfight to last anyways?

After the movie, we headed down to this cosy little Japanese Pasta restaurant called "The Pasta Place", which is actually one of Sakae's franchise. I didn't even know Sakae had a pasta shop til I saw it. They even have one of those high tea buffets just like the original Sakae branch. I must definitely give it a try one of these days.

I would love to post photos of what we had for dinner, but I was just way too hungry. The hunger sapped away all my will and strength, rendering me weak, to the extent that I couldn't even raise a finger to whip out my camera.

Ok, perhaps I exaggerated a little there, but the point is, no photos were taken, sadly.

The cream soup was quite a delight to savor over. It had this really nice aftertaste which is unlike those instant soup that they serve at your normal western restaurants. Pasta serving was rather hearty, so there shouldn't be any concern of not being able to fill up your empty stomach. I actually ordered a cup of cocktail (vodka plus some Japanese plum drink) to try out, and as usual, I was pretty much swept out by the alcohol. Guess some things just never change. On the other hand, she seemed pretty well, even after having a few sips of the drinks.

In other news, did I mention that there is a new residence in my house? We call him Milo and he likes to bite a lot. The bugger nearly chewed off a part of my girlfriend's pants.

I like the taste of gummy cherry lips.
