I decided to bring forward my celebration for prelims by celebrating her post block test!
The journey was not a mere simple task for I had lost my way as usual. But nevertheless, after a long hard search, our efforts paid off. We were guided by the light from the rainbow! Thank the heavens!
"Thy shall go thru' the arc of the rainbow at Goon's Garden Way"And what awaits us after this perilous journey was food. Glorious, yummy Italian food!
We arrived at this cosy little Italian restaurant called
"Buono Pizzabar & Ristorante", still unsure that we got the right place. The diner had no signboard at all, but we took the plunge and went for it anyways.
Jackpot.
Now let the pictures speak for themselves!
Garlic bread, on the houseSoup! I ordered myself some Seafood Soup, but unfortunately, greedy ole' me must have gobbled it down without realising that I had not taken any snapshots of it! Good thing I managed to take a photo of her Funghi soup!
Funghi, not FUNGIAnd now for some appetisers!
Sword Fish Carpaccio : Tastes like ham!
Portobello MushroomAnd finally, our main course!
Buono PizzaThe greens on the pizza tasted awful when you tried to eat it alone. But coupled with the pizza, it blends in quite nicely with the cheese, making it a delight to chew on. Overall, the pizza wasn't too shabby, but I would have preferred it better if it didn't came with burnt crusts that gave off a bitter aftertaste.
If you fancy a posh and quiet little restaurant in the heartlands, head over to Buono's now. Just bring more cash with you - it's going to be quite the costly treat.

I chanced upon this series when I read through my Facebook updates. Apparently, someone was having a conversation about it, and since I was trying my very best to escape reality, I decided to check it out.
I can now proudly add another comedy series to my list of ever growing media addiction.
I really like this show even though I can't understand the nerd speech most of the time, but it makes me feel smart listening to it, so, meh.
The show is basically about 2 Physicists living together, with a hot, new neighbour who lives across their hall. Be amused by the things that can happen when nerds and beauty cross paths.
Catch Big Bang Theory today.

There are just times when you feel so low and out that you can't take it anymore.
You try to turn to different outlets to let it out but it is like a rebound.
You can run but you can't hide away from it.
Am I slowly losing to it?
And all I have left is a thin thread connecting me to you......
Please don't break this thread.

My first Valentines' date went... well, it didn't went badly. It could have been better for sure. And it could have been awesome with more photos.
But meh. It was a new experience and we both enjoyed ourselves (and I bet the mozzies enjoyed themselves too.)
I had been wanting to try out Just Acia at Dhoby Exchange for quite some time now, and today was the right day to try it out. The food ain't too bad, and I would say that it is really quite economical to order their set meal. It costs me only $5.90 to get a Dory Fish Set (with rice, dory fish, vegetables, miso soup and free serving of drink and ice cream!). Miss Valentine couldn't take chicken because of her bad cough, so she had to settle with Beef Ramen instead. Let the pictures speak for themselves!
Her: Beef Ramen
Mine: Dory Fish SetWhat's Valentines' Day without the gifting right? I prepared the best present to her...
I gave myself to her!
Well. Sort of.
I gave her a little mini version of me that can be worn as a necklace or used simply as an accessory. And I had a mini version of her made so that I can keep her by my side, always! Woohoo.

Cute eh?
Lunch was just the beginning! Had a lovely dinner-picnic at botanic garden after much shopping around at Plaza Singapura. I think we donated quite a lot of blood for the Mozzies' Buffet Fest. Made a run for it when we decided that enough was enough. No photos were taken here because we were just too... lazy.
I could go on and on about our day, but do you reaaaaaaally want to know all that?
So glad that everything turned out fine in the end. I love my Ms Valentine. Heh.
Happy Single Awareness Day to my single friends!

It's Valentines' Day and I'm here worrying for my Valentines'.
Man, this feeling suck.
I just can't figure it out. I guess not everything can be figured out on my own.
Hope she's ok...

How many of you here agree with me that the mind and the body must co-exist side by side?
Many a times, we neglect one to concentrate on the other. A healthy body helps to constitute a healthy mind. One who is sick all the time would of no doubt find it hard to concentrate on his train of thoughts.
To be frank, I am a major lazy bum. I have a lazy body and a lazy mind. Before army, I was often lethargic and all I wanted to do was to laze around all day and take naps and surf the web mindlessly. But the army's routine life helped to instill a discipline routine for my body. I learned to exercise. What it did not help me to accomplish however, was my idle and lazy mind.
When you are in a non-commanding post, you don't really have to rack your brains at all. AS if it wasn't idle enough in the first place, now it takes much more determination for me to have it jump-started.
Exercising is still a hard thing for a lazybone like me. But I managed to convince myself of the importance of strength to protect the ones I love. What I failed to see was I was slowly becoming a brute.
A man who possesses strength but is without wisdom or knowledge can be nothing more than a brute. I tried hard to keep my fitness but I failed to keep a balance between my mind and body. What good is it to have a healthy body that has no mind to harbour?
Prelims will be here in less than two weeks and I have yet to hit the books. I need to get my mind up and running.
I will not be a brute.

Time for a little blog revival! And what better way to do it than with a month-nniversary speech?
Although time is not an accurate estimate of a couple's love, through this seven months together, I have only found myself to like you more and more! I think I have already said what I wanted to through sms, but still, I would like to dedicate a post to you on this very special day.
Happy 7-month-nniversay. =]
